To aid in schedule planning, I will also communicate any of the following with my co-presenters:

  • Schedule conflicts

  • Event format (panel, Q&A, etc…)

  • Technical requirements/requests

  • Changes to my speaker lineup

Original Work

I understand that the material I am presenting at the speaking event is my own original material or is material that I have the legal right to present.

During my speaking event, I pledge to stay focused on the topic at hand and make sure that the information presented adheres to the age level (parent, elementary, middle, or high school) designated for my speaking event.

Code of Conduct

Speakers are expected to behave in accordance with professional standards, the Code of Conduct, and applicable laws.

Speakers should not use sexual language, images, activities, or other material at the speaking event that could constitute harassment in their talks. In regards to sexual imagery, at a minimum, no images containing nudity or expressions of sexual relationships that might be deemed inappropriate for a business environment should be used. Harassment includes but is not limited to the use of abusive, offensive, or degrading language, intimidation, stalking, harassing photography or recording, inappropriate physical contact, sexual imagery, and unwelcome sexual advances or requests for sexual favors.

I understand that my slides and on-stage remarks must abide by the Code of Conduct. I understand that my slides may be reviewed ahead of time and that I may need to modify my presentation if it does not adhere to the Code of Conduct. I also understand that if, while I am presenting, I fail to abide by the spirit of the Code of Conduct, my event recording can be removed.
